Can someone explain crash pads to me?
I think I understand the concept. - Rent a bed in a house a month at a time?
I was told ExpressJet does not give allowance for hotel stays, but does have crash pads on their website?
Who owns them?
Do you pay monthly?
Are they mostly used while on reserve?
Is it the same bed every time?
Who cleans these places?

generally they are used by people on reserve who do not live in domicile and by commuters whose lack of seniority, company flying schedule, or long or involved commute make commuting difficult and short layovers on their domicile frequent. They are EXTREMELY variable and range from quite decent to horrible.

They are used by commuters (line and reserve)

Usually the owner has a cleaning service that takes care of the kitchens and bathrooms etc.hotel cleaning. However pick up your own stuff.
