INDOC questions

1) Is the 10 week training at Houston called INDOC?

2) Do you travel home ever on weekends? Or do you stay the entire 10 weeks?

Thanks again!

First week is basic indoc. You will do about 2 weeks of systems interspersed with some procedures trainers. Then you will work in the full motion sims doing maneuvers and line oriented training. You will have some time off and the company pays for positive space if you have 3+ days off. In my 3 month schedule, I’ll have about 5 times where this happens, 3 times I’ll have a week off. You are free to travel home on weekends but most of us stay to study.

Thanks for that. Most of my friends have prepped me for spending most weekends studying. Just wanting to see if there is couple times I am able to fly home for a break once and awhile.

Is there price breaks on flights?

There is with the myUAdiscount but you won’t need that during training as they will pay for a ticket for you to go home.

If there is a break in your training three days or more is when they pay. Other than that you will have kcm and jumpseat the first week of indoc.

KCM - Known Crew Member.
At certain airports you will be allowed to go through the special crew member door instead of the TSA X ray line
