Can I get the winning powerball numbers for the next jackpot as well? And I give you credit, all your predictions about xjt have been spot on so far.

I am referring specifically to XJT and I am going on the record saying that we will have no need to furlough. I could not care less who agrees with me. If I had the outlook any of you have the only reasonable course of action would be to find a new career. Those who look to the horizon and can’t feel optimistic about the future are a group of people I will NEVER relate to. Maintaining a positive attitude and focusing on things within your control, including a contingency plan for worst case scenarios, is the way I choose to live my life.

Too many think that when things are good they will never be bad again and that when things are bad they will never get better.

I agree with your outlook. Jet fuel prices plummeted and the ERJ fleet is paid off. Demand will come back eventually, but in the meantime the 145 will be utilized all over this country until more than 50 people at a time want to fly to xyz city. Our jobs are secure in this type of economy.

I agree that worrying about things you cant control isnt helpful. Neither is sticking your head in the sand and pretending everything is just fine, or things will be back to normal in just a couple of months when the evidence says otherwise. Several of us on here are trying to discern what this all means for our careers, and I think everyone here would admit that no one knows, and no one here has pretended to be the expert except for you. You admit it's unprecedented and therefore unpredictable, but at the same time act like you know what the future holds with certainty. If anyone is pretending to be an expert, it's you.

I respect your opinion and frankly I hope you are 100% correct. That said, talking down to others who dont have the same conviction as you is unhelpful and immature. It's funny that you talk about embracing positivity, yet all you have shown to your Expressjet colleagues and anyone else here has been exceedingly and unnecessarily negative. If you really believe in positivity, you should check your tone and stop being contemptuous of anyone who has a slightly different outlook.

The rest of your post is just a strawman: "Too many think that when things are good they will never be bad again and that when things are bad they will never get better." No one here has stated anything of the sort

"If I had the outlook any of you have the only reasonable course of action would be to find a new career. "

Just because people question the timeline for things returning to normal does not mean that we are behaving hysterically or that we are panicking irrationally, or that we want to bail out from this career. Reasonable people can disagree, and everyone agrees the economy will recover; the question is how long that recovery will take, a few months or over a year.

In summary, please be less of a douchebag towards others who may reasonably disagree, and channel that positivity that you say is so important to you

While that may very well be true, please keep in mind that flight schedules have been reduced by about 70% and may go even deeper. Do you think XJT would need to furlough if that happens? Another wild card in all of this is whether or not the stimulus protections apply directly to regional airlines and if they do, whether or not XJT/Mana/UAL takes them. Lots of strings attached with that bailout money.

ManAir is a privately owned company you will never know! XJT can’t take any money as that is just a name

The fact that ManAir is a private company is irrelevant. CARES money is available to a commercial air carrier. Publicly held or privately held. XJT has its own 121 certificate and is eligible for federal assistance.

Which ones are you curious about? The dozen or so already in class or the ones about to start?

You can pretty much disregard anything that guy says. He is a disgruntled ex-employee who was either fired or "asked to resign". Says he has 26 years in the industry or something like that...and still at a bottom feeder regional, go figure!
