It amazes me, these greedy executives and CEO's. Over the last 10 years the airlines have posted billions upon billions in profits, of which 96% of that went towards shareholder buybacks.
Like begets like.
Money makes more money. Period.

I misspoke, free cash flow. In other words net income (profit) plus depreciation less capital expenditures. The crazy thing, in the end they may all just declare bankruptcy anyway, blame the coronavirus, gut the labor contracts and pay uncle sam back pennies on the dollar. The stock warrants the government receives as collateral will most likely be out of the money as the share price may very well be below the strike price. Let's hope not though. Hope for a speedy recovery for everyone's sake.

I had finished LOE, but not IOE, and I was furloughed. I suppose I should be grateful for the paid ATP and type rating, but still a pretty big bummer. The lack of any sort of notice also sucks

There are several potential loopholes to CARES payroll protections, this is one of them, as well as downgrades conducted in accordance with the contract.

Don’t listen to this guy. Sorry to hear this happened so close to the finish line. Keep your head held up high and try and look at the positive.
