You said United can't afford to buy a regional airline. With hundreds of millions just in cash alone and record profits every quarter, you think United can't afford to buy XJT.
Pretty sure you were serious.

Why would United want to buy a regional airline?

Apparently they have a stake in CommutAir.

Having a stake and investing is a bit different than owning them outright.

I'm not counting them either. But, SKYW signed an LOI for about a hundred of them. They are merely one variable among many in the equation. SKYW could also sell its options and take the MRJ out of the equation.

you need to look up the definition of LOI

Just yesterday it was announced that the US rollout of the MRJ would be delayed by at least another year. Something about the structural integrity needing strengthening to meet US certification standards.

You need to use big-boy words to express yourself. Otherwise, your message is meaningless.

Time to address the elephant in the room: ASA's Caitlyn Jenner. *ugghhhh

DrunkenShytbird 01-01-2016 04:42 PM

Can we just move on here for Christsakes.
And if you have a problem flying with LBGTG you had better get over it because it is what it is & I seriously doubt that somebody would go through a "Caitlyn Jenner" type event just to, maybe, land a job at a Legacy.
The person in question is a good, long time experienced Aviator & has done innumerable good for the ASA Pilot Group AND was the only Person that I ever saw go Mano a Mano with Team ASA (Tutt & Holt) on numerous occasions and they were pretty much unsuccessful in intimidating him, despite their best efforts, from what I could see.
Judge not, lest ye be judged, eh.

Ahh the word "bigotry"..the PC's favorite word for someone who doesn't agree with their views...it is not bigotry in questioning whether or not someone going through the "change" is stable and would prefer not to fly with someone they think is not of sound mind. Their is no scientific proof of this being normal and you can't choose what sex or race you want to be. I don't know the guy but I'm sure he's easy to get along with and stuff but don't label people bigots because they aren't going along with this political correctness leftist agenda.

Bigot: person who strongly and unfairly dislikes other people, ideas, etc. : a bigoted person; especially : a person who hates or refuses to accept the members of a particular group

Claiming that anyone who is transgender is mentally unstable is, in fact, a bigot. That's not PC or a part of a leftist agenda. It's just a fact. Just like saying women shouldn't be pilots is sexist or black people should stick to unskilled labor is racist.

As far as your comment about it not being scientifically proven, you're wrong there too. Here is one of many articles:

http://www.rollingstone.com/culture/news/the-science-of-transgender-20140730

Choosing to be uneducated and ignorant is not their fault. Do you ever wonder why there aren't more openly gay pilots? Or why female pilots continue to be such a small minority? It's because guys like you spray your hate every time that door closes.

Looks like both the CRJ Delta fleet and ERJ United fleet will remain static for the remainder of 2016 with some better terms. Obviously better than shrinking but not a complete reversal either.
