Junior Bases -AWAC - EAGLE - EXPRESSJET

Looking for the junior bases and equipment for Air Wisconsin, American Eagle and ExpressJet. Believe it or not, I'm actually looking to stay in the NY area...

I've searched, but the most recent threads are all 6 months old or older

Lga is junior for AWAC. Pm me if you have any questions.

Lagarbage is usually junior for any airline. I wouldn't worry unless you have offers from all 3.

motormadness 04-10-2014 07:43 AM

You can go ahead and mark down EWR being junior at XJT.

EMB only, or do they have the CRJ's there too?

I think it's worth mentioning that the future is especially uncertain for all 3 of these carriers.

ERJ's only

Junior CRJ base is IAD and on the 700/900 DTW to my knowledge. If you want a decent QOL, go ERJ.

Better than supporting the rotten causes of Mesa, PSA, and Bendover.

NY is junior at eagle on all equipment. It's a co-domicile JFK/LGA.

Honestly the only thing that makes the future uncertain here is managements inability to pull their head out of their rear. It seems the eventual plan is to place the 175s at Eagle, however they want contract concessions so bad we're hemorrhaging pilots so fast they won't be able to staff the aircraft.

Nevermind..

Endeavor is opening a huge operation in NYC(JFK and LGA) on the 900. It will be the most junior bases for us. Separate bases as of now. Hell new hires are rumored to be getting delta numbers here shortly. If you don't mind the horrible pay, this place wouldn't be a bad place for someone who actually wants NYC. You'll gain seniority quickly and have good QOL. good luck

For what it's worth we had an Endeavour check airman on the jumpseat about a month ago who claimed to be involved in the hiring process. He said they'd asked Delta for a flow through program to attract new hires and they refused. He also said Delta was worried we at Eagle would pass our concessionary deal and that the bottom of Endeavour's list would bail to Eagle chasing that elusive flow.

pa28dakota 04-10-2014 08:20 AM

Supposedly Endeavor is 'working on something' to attract new hires. No one here will stand for a flow only for new hires. That'd go nuclear fast. As someone who lives in NY also, the 9E New York bases are already very junior and will continue to get moreso. I may actually be able to hold a line again here by fall if the trend continues. Latest class that received base assignments will all be JFK-900 FOs. NY appears as if it will be VERY junior for the foreseeable future. Again if you don't mind the lower pay living in base will trump that compared to a commute. Just my .02.

The going rumor is whoever gets the ejets will start in ny and envoy ny is slated to close.

From the source that told me three weeks ago CRJ's to dfw.

I could see that happening. On the Delta side Delta want no 50 seaters operating in NYC to cater to business travelers. The Eagle NYC CP said to me once on our jumpseat "Where Delta goes American will follow."

Do you believe everything that's posted on FB on April fools day? Refering to your Delta number.

This unfortunately is a different rumor he is addressing versus the April Fool's joke. It's gained some traction too for the fact that Delta is doing the screening for new hires. Because of this, they can offer jobs to them at Delta after an indentured servitude to Endeavor and that would solve the hiring problem. Those on property prior to DAL taking over hiring are stuck with the SSP. That way everyone is screened prior to going to DAL. Again just a rumor...

Good luck with all that!!

Which Eagle you're talking about? Hahahahaha Eagle is now a branding unfortunately, we will become Envoy. I expect them to come back to the negotiation table since it seems no other company can staff the flying we do.

So far NYC is the Jr base for L-Eagle, I would say that after that is MIA, ORD and DFW at the end.
