ExpressJet Houston base for new hires ?
 

Wondering if any chance that new hires could get IAH/Houston at ExpressJet (former Continential Express) ?

Assuming Expressjet is the regional there and I don't have my info wrong.

He lives in Houston and has a baby (well his wife does, but you know what I mean) and of all the regionals, he thinks ExpressJet IAH base is what he wants to aim for

Skywest is hiring and has a IAH base

SkyWest is the regional de jure in IAH these days. Couple of others might have crew bases there. And SW is hiring.

He may want to read up a bit about what's going on over at Expressjet with contract negotiations and planes coming off contract there in the next two years. They have a great pilot contract but there's no way I'd go there under the current circumstances until something changes.

Is the ASA side hiring?

Negative. Lots of rumors out there. Stay tuned.

No hiring going on here at XJT. We are the largest regional based there by far. SKW is hiring, but I know nothing about how senior IAH is for them. Also, Mesa has an E-170 base there, and the rumor is they are hiring.

Not sure what his background is, but if he has previous 121 experience then he has a good chance of getting the E175 at Mesa. The only base for that right now is IAH.

IAH is definitely attainable if he goes to Skywest. Reserve might be longer but he'll be home. Not sure how Mesa is with new hires though.
