Honestly I think everyone is proud of what your company is trying to do (give the big FU to the codeshare).

Just don't drink too much koolaid :D.

Superpilot92 02-13-2007 10:25 PM

I am just glad to see that everyone is doing what mgmt asked by not talking about it on the public forums. Lets just keep it that way and let them announce when ready. I do agree with you SAAB!! I really enjoyed the call also.

I think it's to late for that!:)

Though it is nice to see someone excited about Express for a change.

We are all hoping it works out. I think it will, atleast long enough so you can upgrade.

Geronimo4497 02-14-2007 07:42 AM

Was it a public conference call or an internal departmental call? If it was public there should be a transcript available soon enough.

Ahh, I heard you guys were E170's and 190's for branded flying. Is it true???
HAHA good luck.
On side note if they did do that, at least nobody can be complain that it should be a mainline plane.;)

JoeyMeatballs 02-14-2007 08:10 AM

very true indeed, maybe one day we can be our own regional service for the branded flying hahah

freezingflyboy 02-14-2007 08:27 AM

Saab, I think you must be bi-polar or something:D Seems like just a week or so ago that you were worried that about it all going down the sh!tter here at Express because of the whole Colgan Q400s in EWR thing. I try to keep off the teal and orange kool aid around here but it seems like if any management can pull this off, its ours.

PS
I missed the conference call but it sounds like it was good stuff.

JoeyMeatballs 02-14-2007 08:30 AM

Very good stuff, even better outlook, Don't get me wrong the Colgan thing still drives me nuts but The Koolaid was a plentiful :). I just have to remember as was said last night CAL is no longer run by Gordon, its run by accountants and lawyers, so Quality is out the window, more about cost.

Get used to it, it's called macroeconomics.

And it's killing us all.

JoeyMeatballs 02-14-2007 09:41 AM

That it is my dear friend, that it is.

Is the news worth me puting in a resume when the time comes?

JoeyMeatballs 02-14-2007 10:17 AM

nah its nothing like some huge major announcement, its just a lot of little notes/things that clear a lot up and give us an idea of what to expect in the future.

SPRINT100 02-14-2007 11:57 AM

Hopefully the good times will still be around in Oct/Nov. By then I will be ready to apply to EJ:)

SharkyBN584 02-14-2007 12:03 PM

Just so I'm clear on this SAAB...you started a thread about an internal conference call only XJT guys heard to tell everyone you can't talk about it?

Couldn't help it... :D

JoeyMeatballs 02-14-2007 02:43 PM

hahah well like i said nothing earth shattering just a lot of little good things, along with some future planes/ideas, I dunno I was just excited what can i say, I wanted to share it with you guys :)

That would be cool and what would be better is if it was for mainline pay.:) Anyway, it would be really cool to see that kind of growth in the future.

yup it would be cool. I'm sure the pay would be appropriate. XJT doesn't sign sh!tty contracts, like some do :)

bigtime209 02-14-2007 10:08 PM

Any chance you know when us little people will hear the news?

We just like to make errant comments about other peoples contracts that we've never read or had anything to do with. It keeps us warm at night. XJT is the greatest damn regional out there...anyone who doesn't work for us clearly has some form of down syndrome and is undercutting the entire industry. I don't understand why we aren't the only regional carrier in the united states. That way Newark, Houston, and Clevland would be the pilot capitals OF THE WORLD! GO ME!

(insert 10 characters here to make reply long enough)

:D

My work rules suck, sure my pay might be like others, but when Major's look for regional's they look much deeper into to the contract then most people think. It's not just pay scales. They look at what we have signed in the past to see if we set high standards for ourselves. In our case we don't, you could say our pilot group is cowardly. I mean after all we are just here for the love of flying, and have no need for the QOL.

:D

you know it

SharkyBN584 02-15-2007 07:54 AM

Awww...that's cute. Truthfully though, you probably know very little about my companies contract. To call our contract "inferior" when you yourself have no personal affiliation with it other than what you heard in the crew room is infantile. I'm glad you love life over at XJT...however, it's pretty close-minded to think that everyone else has a sh!tty contract.

Did I say that? No, just your company. But yes there is others.

I give up. It's like trying to describe the color green to Hellen Keller...
