Default 757 Bidpack Trash

Anyone on the 75 or looking to go in the future might want to reconsider.
The pairings have turned in to trash or have been moved to the IND76 or MEM76 bidpack. At one time 757 bidpack had 180 lines but now the Capts. are down to 138 and F/O's are down to 112

Not to long ago we were told the bidpack was going to be split yet the opposite has happened. If you were on 727 at the end it feels kind of like that except worse. The CRS manager is building HTLSTBY daily to force people to come sit so to show reserve utilization no matter the cost to the company for the hotels. I just hope the rumor of a 757 displacement is true so those trying to move off are no longer stuck while newhires are getting better schedules flying a widebody.

Anybody else have any more insight because our SIG seems to be left out of the loop as well as to the future of the 75?

So...42 more WB captain lines and 68 more WB FO lines is bad? For all the guys wanting a "blended rate" like UPS...we now have something better. Everyone at FedEx except 112 FOs and 138 Capts are on wide-body pay. I'd call that a solid win.

Being trapped on a NB when you want a larger jet does suck. Hopefully future bid and the 76 passover grievance will fix some of that. But looking at from a total pilot group, it would be nice if there were even fewer pure narrow body lines. Having more 76 pilots instead of 75 pilots means higher paychecks, better seniority for guys on higher paying jets, more B fund money for the pilots and more dues for ALPA. The losers in this shift are the guys who want to camp for seniority on the NB lines...the handwriting says there will be fewer of those going forward.

I believe the move to the IND 76 will be temporary unless they expand the base. However, it will get worse before it gets better. I'm pretty sure we are losing one of our 76s in July for good. They put more 757 flying in the bid pack because of it. We should lose the other 2 LAN planes before the end of the year. More 75 flying. After we get checked out on the LDS and the Silk planes get converted then we'll have less 75 flying I would assume.

Except there are almost 300 Capts and 215 F/Os on the 75.

I thought the saying was "you only have to be junior once. "

I think the saying needs to be changed to "if it doesn't impact me it doesn't really matter"

Unfortunately, that sentiment is far too common.

When will we learn, that which affects the least of us affects all of us?

The Company is expert at exploiting differences.

Wow

I guess the Schedule Improvement Group must have their hands tied because there has been No Improvement to MEM57 bidpack. It's only going backwards unfortunately with no end in sight.

HL out.

Does the SIG have any 757 guys on it? They have been taking a lot of the better trips and leaving the trash. Haven't seen GJT or QRO in the 767 bid pack.

How can you call that a win? A UPS 757 Captain makes $45/hr more than a FedEx 757 Captain. And ALL UPS Captains make $4/hr more than FedEx's widebody Captains.
