How do you find out pilots’ seniority?

As a potential new hire who lives in Indianapolis what would be the best aircraft to bid for beside Indy 76 base

Look a few threads down and read "FedEx First Year Info for New Hires..." and "Commuting - FedEx." That will help with whatever "best" means to you.

there’s quite a few very senior folks who live in Indy but are MEM based pilots. Much more variety in MEM. However...I know a couple dudes that bid IND b/c of latest system bid and SIBA soon to be based at IND. SIBA muy bueno for commuter from east coast. I love SIBA and sad to see it go to IND. almost worth it to be 25% at IND w/simple Atlantic crossings.

If you think that you might want to bid IND in the near future, I would bid MEM 767 or MEM 757. The transition to IND would be very easy. MEM 767 wouldn't take any training, 757 would just be differences training. OAK 767 would also be a possibility but would be a long commute.

I don't know for sure, but I would think that when the new ops building is done this fall or winter, the IND domicile might expand.

Can a pilot based outside MEM pick up MEM trips and vice versa on their equipment? Is their priority given to awarding trips in domicile first?

Sure.

Example: 757 pilots can pick up trips in Europe when they are based in MEM, and vice versa.

You cannot pick up out of base, other than to trade or bump for a per diem only trip.

CBA 25.L.1.i
"A pilot may not be assigned an activity that originates at a base other than his own, except in PDO status"

That said, the company can build open time trips that have deadhead or operations into and out of another base, but that's a different animal.

False. You can only pickup trips in your own bidpack
