It doesn’t matter Walrus, Tony is obviously jealous I did get an offer from Fedex and had the luxury and privilege to take another offer. Hardest professional decision I’ve ever had to make. Fedex IMO is one of, if not the best aviation job in the industry. The night flying issue truly is a non issue. At Fedex you have options to mostly (but not entirely) avoid night flying. And BTW, night flying is defined as starting say after 10pm and flying until the sun comes up as some call it shift work. Night flying is not starting at 2-3pm and flying until 11pm. All airlines do that.
Fedex is a great company, anyone who does not take the job because they are concerned about “night” flying has not done proper research on Fedex.

Carry on......

I guess reading comprehension is not a skill possessed by some. All you had to do is read a couple of sentences after the cherry picked quote to see I stated mostly but not entirely avoidable, depending on seniority, equipment, holding off on upgrade, etc.

Actually, it wasn't "a couple of sentences," it was just one, and in that sentence there was no mention of seniority, equipment, or timing of upgrades. After that, you decided to make up your own definition of "night flying."
Perhaps you should leave the describing of FedEx flying to those who actually do it. I'm beginning to feel a little sorry for my UPS brethren who might have to fly with you.

You're just full of personal attacks, aren't you?

And by the way, doing just fine, feel sorry for yourself if you wish. Posts/Users such as this remind me why some folks get misled and get turned off.
This is cargo flying, OF COURSE you will fly at night. With improving seniority and the current movement, depending on what is important for a person, you can ABSOLUTELY mostly avoid 12am-8am flying, key word MOSTLY, not all flying.
Had I made a decision based on useless or misleading information posted on here (some is good), would of kicked myself in the a...
For a Fedex hopeful, be very clear it is a great company and great job, but it is definitely not for everyone. Sometimes it will be hard on your body, you will struggle if you can’t sleep when the sun is up, but I personally know a few guys who “mostly” fly “normal” hours. Talk to the guys that complain, the one who love it, the guys in the middle. You will make serious money, without sacrificing much QOL.

... would have kicked ...
Would've would've worked, too.
And, for the record, I've posted nothing misleading here. You're the one acting like the expert on a job you don't have, attacking those who DO have the job and disagree with you.
You seem to like to talk, so I'll leave the last word to you. Intelligent readers will know how much weight to give to your "thoughts."

Because it really does not matter when you are actually flying, it's really about when you are trying to sleep so that you are ready to fly again.

Ok, let's try this definition. Night Flying is flying that requires the majority of required recovery sleep to be completed between the hours of sunrise to sunset.
Because it really does not matter when you are actually flying, it's really about when you are trying to sleep so that you are ready to fly again.
