Time to interview?

Can anyone recently hired by FedEx fill me in on the current time to interview?

I gave a colleague a personal endorsement and wanted to know how long he should have before expecting a call? if a call at all?

So basically from time of personal endorsement to call to interview is what I am interested in? I know this will vary but I would be interested in hearing some of your stories.

thanks.

Also, how about time from invite to time of actual interview?

PE received in March 2017; still no call to interview. Prior mil, no skeletons, all the typical competitive check boxes. True story.

Keep updating your app every week. No joke.

Hypothetical but close to reality(IMO): There are 1000 highly qualified applicants to choose from out of say, 8000. They all have about the same qualifications, etc. They plan on hiring 70 a month, and say interviewing 200/mo. You can see it will take at least 5 months to get through the 1000 highly qualified guys.

What I’m getting at...it’s a numbers game. All you can do is be ready when they call. Chances are, they will.

I got an interview invite 10 months after my pilot credentials application was "visible" to the public, 7 months after Personal Endorsement (back when it first came out as the new process), and 2 weeks from invite to interview (options were available for 4 weeks invite to interview). Retired military, solid resume, lots of boxes checked.

All that said, I know others have had shorter and longer timeframes and I would love to provide the rationale for each, but there's a bit of a "man behind the curtain" scenario here. Plenty of unknowns in the selection process. Make sure his application is air tight and he updates often. Patience and luck help too! It'll all work out ...

It was about 7 years for me. :D

But I've got friends that recently got called in as little as 8 months from the time they applied.

*Results may Vary. ;)

My timing

Email invite for interview was 4 December, interview was 8-9 January (I would have moved heaven and earth to make the earliest offered interview), found out I “passed day 2” on 17 January. Still waiting to hear more about class dates.

Had a PE from friend input in October. App was in since August.

Seems like a toss up from other posts here. I feel very lucky.
