Where is the love?

Just watched the "Hey Amazon, barrier to entry" video RF suggested. Neat video but two questions. !. Are those remotely piloted airplanes as I don't think I saw a single frame with a pilot in it. 2. Isn't it taunting Amazon to just buy us? Bezos, "You're right, 40 year head start, hard to compete with that, where's my checkbook?" (for the new hires, a checkbook is a pack of paper that you can write out an obligation note of money from your bank)

What I got from the video:

1). Fedex is worried about Amazon making a dent in the market in far less time than 40 years.

2). This was addressed to investors that may be worried about the threat.

3). FedEx is letting Amazon know its watching and will not sit idly by.....even if Bezos has the cash to spank us.

It is to drive up the price that Amazon will have to pay for us. You need to pay for 600+ airplanes, 100,000s of trucks, billions of specialists....or pay us double!

If Amazon buys us, that will take care of all our retirement concerns.

Current market capitalization of FedEx: 65.2 billion dollars

Current market capitalization of Amazon: 719.7 billion dollars

Jeff Bezos personal net worth: 121.3 billion dollars

I cannot think of a single more disastrous thing that could happen to the pilot workforce than Having this company get acquired by Amazon. That's not hyperbole.

I don't think Fred would ever sell.

Unfortunately, Fred won't live forever.

I hope he lives until I retire.

God Bless Fred Smith.

"Fred" doesn't own FDX. He owns less than 6% of the common stock.

Lefties love unions unless they are trying to organize their company.
