LOR Interview question

So I have an interview coming, but never got any letters of recommendations from friends. Should I have some buddies write me some external LOR’s before the interview date?

I didn't have anything and it worked out.

As far as I know they are no longer accepting any LORs.

When I interviewed last March I asked about LOR’s and they said I could put them in with the rest of the paperwork but they would prob not review them during the interview.

I was told this in the interview as well.
