VEBA Deposit

Did any of you retired folks get your March VEBA check deposited yet? It usually shows up the first week of the month but nothing as of today.

No, the rest of us who are paying hundreds per year for this and will be indefinitely didn't get d***. Nor will we. Enjoy.

Perhaps you should read the PRP section in our contract

I am told the union survey includes the question, "do you trust you union leadership?".

My answer would be, "not until I get my $25,000 plus interest they gave to the special few in 2006".

Of course, I didn't get called.

Once again, the "I've got mine" crowd took from the rest of us, so they could get theirs.

Hey, MEC, instead of this idiotic retirements Ponzi scheme, why don't you get the rest of us our $25,000?

OK, don't be a hater. You will also get this benefit when you start on Medicare. The OP is NOT talking about the $25K that was negotiated for a select group.

I asked a simple question about something that I had no part in developing or implementing and in less than three hours the perpetually unhappy folks turned this into a union/retiree bashing fest. Oh, by the way this is the $118 per month that all Medicare eligible retirees and their spouse receive. Unless you guys screw it up, it will be there when you start receiving Medicare.
Now back to my original question; did any retirees, and only retirees respond, receive your VEBA deposit for March?

I'm not retired, and I just responded. You are retired, and have no control over me. I bet that sucks?:p

I retired in December at 63. I haven't seen anything, but maybe this is an over 65 thing?

It's a Medicare or Medicare Supplement reimbursement, so yes, you have to be over 65 and on Medicare. $118 per month for you and $118 per month for your Medicare eligible spouse.
