This seems to be the norm in every industry. I was once a manager for at&t and we were forced by HR to hire based off of diversity and not on qualifications. I agree with your statement that “espousing a desire for diversity of race, sex, age or any other characteristic not causal or relevant to one's skill as an aviator is an admission of some racial/sexist/etc. prejudice.”

Most folks aren't taught the correct design eye point in the 757. If you can't see a $20 bill sitting where the glare shield meets the wind screen, you are too low!

I think an adult who isn't actually on a hiking trail, a long distance bike ride or maybe a soldier out in the field looks a little silly wearing a back-pack. A pilot in uniform wearing a back-pack is borderline ridiculous. Get some grown up luggage. |
