Default 100 Hour Consolidation

Can anyone give me an average on how long it takes to complete 100 hour consolidation. I am on 757 MEM . If I put “First Call” after IOE when I am on reserve, will that help out in getting more flying? Thanks

On Average it takes 100 hours
:-)

Senior enough to Fly, will go quicker. Summer months, bit tougher as fewer people tend to be sick.

YES, and NO, First Fly ranked by Seniority as well.

Why worry about it? CRS has the Power to place you 1st when behind the Timeline Consolidation wise...and they can also allow you to PDO bump people for Consolidation (whether they'll approve it is another question)

You'll get done, or start over. It's not something you can control.
CRS will "suggest" you PDO bump people on your days Off....as if, they should be approving that while you're sitting R days.

It's really no big deal if you don't make the timeline. They'll just fly you with an Lca and extend you for 30 more days.

It really depends on what trips you get. 4wk bidmonth lines can average less than 30 hours of block. They can also end up over 50. Same thing for 5wk bidmonths with an appropriate additive.

Do what you can but you might not get there. Contract let’s you PDO bump to consolidate but I’ll take the extra time and effort with pay vs working for free.

Like Kronan said, try to PDO bump on days that you have reserve. The contract allows you to do that. NEVER work for free trying to consolidate.

You’ll automatically be put on first fly while consolidating if you are on reserve. You can see who’s consolidating on reserve when you look at the reserve leveling list the folks consolidating will all have a ‘C’ next to their names under the ‘first fly’ column, and they are all at the top of the reserve list above even more senior folks who put ‘Yes’ for first fly.

When I consolidated I found someone who lived local that was doing AM out/backs and was able to get scheds to approve some PDO bumps day by day while I was on reserve.

Recently I had someone call me asking if they could PDO bump me off of a week long pairing that had some good block time. They were on reserve the same week as my trip, and scheds of course said ‘No’ to the PDO bump request when we submitted it. A few days prior to my trip after scheds had denied the PDO bump after about 5 requests I offered up to trade my week long pairing for his week of reserves. The contract allows a trade like that and each pilot keeps their original BLG for pay except for the person who flew my trip kept the per diem. It worked out for me since I live in the Memphis area, and I believe I was only used once during the week. So that’s another option you can look into is finding someone to trade your reserve block for their trip. The contract has a section that addresses that type of trade 25.L.9.c
