Gets worse.. According to a buddy on the SIG, it’s not 20% of RDays being dropped into the SWW but closer to 40%. But of course, the company position is 20% is known and the other is... well.. unknown.. Backdoor PBS

Agreed.

It should be getting better as we get more cities, but it seems to be getting worse.

Too many lines that are not commutable.

Those lines can only be flown by someone that lives in Memphis.

Some are so bad, even the Memphis folks don't want them.

Yeah. That’s what giving up SIG SLA in 08 and 8in24 in last contract will get you. 767 bid pack is biggest pile of crap in the Airline industry. Hold your head down, stay senior and retire. All u can do.

Look at 767 Indy bid pack however.

Since we didn’t sign a blank PBS agreement the plan is to use VTO processes to get some more efficiency gain out of the system. Most foreign carriers don’t have a bid pack. They have work days and off days. They assign your trip as you get closer to your work days. Essentially everyone is on reserve. That’s what the company would like to do.

I am not picking on anyone here. However it angers me to hear people saying we now have a “back door” PBS. No folks, we have PBS and you were warned.

This is precisely one of the things I was complaining and posting about during the TA. I called the union. Talked to several friends who are in the union. I explained to them how this would go down. I told them we have not negotiated the parameters of the software and how it builds lines. Those parameters are what makes you or breaks you. I watvhed this happen at my last airline. Sad.

I am so furious what this union has allowed to have happened here. We are so weak.

I disagree agree with you only on one part. We voted it in. The union only recommended it. What infuriates me so much is the amount of people who never read the TA prior to voting other than possibly the pay rates. Ignorance is bliss... until it's not.

I agree. When I used the words union in the last sentence I was meaning all of us.

Ding Ding Ding. PBS is a system you negotiate. It can be good like ASA has, it can be crappy like Continental had, or somewhere in between like Delta. It doesn’t have to be the devil many here think it is, but you’ve got to have control, transparency, good negotiators and a crew force willing to learn and educate themselves. Currently we are 0 for 4.
