New Hire Junior Activation Compensation
Relatively new guy with a question about New Hire Junior Activation Passover. My understanding was that PO was replaced with SDP. It looks like a new hire will activate in the 76 in the next couple of weeks. I see Passover language is still in the contract under Junior New Hire Activation Compensation. Is it correct that this new hire's activation will trigger passover for a 75F with a 76F award or will it be SDP based on bidding for training slots each month? I have been actively bidding for training, but I have vacation in September with set plans that I don't want to jeopardize even with the short ITU footprint. Will my not bidding for training in Aug effect my collecting PO when this New Hire activates next month or is SDP and PO two different things in this scenario?
Thanks.
Thanks.

This is all relatively new, and until just recently all of the newhires were going into the 75.
Since they've hired people into WBs to fill the open slots from the previous bid, IMO the Defined New Hire Junior Activation pay will be triggered
94. NEW HIRE JUNIOR ACTIVATION COMPENSATION
An hourly rate of pay which is higher than the hourly rate of pay a pilot otherwise
would earn, and to which he may be entitled as a result of a new hire
junior pilot’s activation out of seniority order.
Nowhere in there is any discussion of Bidding Monthly training at 100%, simply seat positions as outlined in 24.F.6 + 7.
What that will actually mean for you, I don't know. But my expectation from your explanation of your situation would mean WB pay for you.
Good Luck

I wish there was an English version of the contract.
