Default Where did all the Reserve lines go?

The July Airbus bid pack has 36 reserve lines for Capt. Previous months were June 55, May 56, April 48. I'm sure I missed the memo, but is there an explanation for this other than we suddenly have a lot more flying or lost a bunch of Captains? Standing by to be enlightened or ridiculed for my ignorance.

Welcome to PBS. I think the new VTO process has moved much of R-lines to the secondary build.

EURO Capt Feb 28 lines 17 reserve and 11 secondary
July 32 lines 7 reserve and 14 secondary

Was there a re-interpretation of the contract or an agreement with the Sig to reduce r-days?

25.A.4 Unless waived by the SIG, at least 80% of all known reserve days, by
crew position, shall be built into reserve lines published in the bid period
package; however, all known R-24 blocks shall be built into reserve
lines published in the bid period package. Remaining reserve days will
be made available as reserve blocks, in the View/Add window, and
Secondary Working Window (SWW).

I think that we have seen 100% in the past and now with the new SLG process they are falling back to 80%,

LOL. We are the dumbest unionized work group in the US. Just to be clear. It’s embarrassing.

Back door pbs. Completely unnecessary to hide 20% of r lines to get rid of reserve conversion, but that's how it was sold.

Who defines "known reserve" anyway? Us or the company? Is there even a definition?
