Dude let it go already, you need to focus on what the union is about to do with “OUR” retirement.

I get that the fund will benefit. My point has been that your number of pancakes will remain constant until you accumulate your next year's short stack, and the only value of those pancakes that will ever matter is the value on the day you "cash in" and begin your retirement.

In fact, in an ironic twist, when the fund profits from dividends and the end of year value of pancakes goes up, it hurts your accumulation of pancakes. When you take your annual earnings and divide by the cost of pancakes, the higher cost of pancakes means you get fewer pancakes.

I just want to emphasize this thing is not a mutual fund. Some people like the idea of having all their retirement in instruments they own and control. This won't be one of those. The pancakes may have your name on them, but you can't do a thing with them or about them except work your butt off until you retire, then wait and hope things go well when you do retire.

It’s not much, but perhaps this will help:

1. FedEx senior Captain elected as ALPA president.
2. FedEx MEC elected Wes “great guy but one of the biggest pushers for the VB Plan” as group A “EVP”

The “EVPs” and four national officers, make up ALPA's Executive Council. The Executive Council oversees fiscal and budgetary matters for the union and participates in policy decisions.

That VB Plan has ALPA written all over it. I’ll wait to see what their 3rd move will be.
Reed was a big pusher of the VB plan? Huh - when? He hasn't served in any capacity since the VB plan was initiated. Do you mean the choice plan? He didn't serve then either. Define big pusher? Where are you getting your facts from?

Have you ever spoken to him about the VB Plan? If not I suggest you do so and tell us what your thoughts are. Because I have, and it was a sales job.

If you think that WR hasn't served in any capacity with the union for the last few years, you need to do more research. The simple fact that he was elected by the MEC as our EVP for ALPA should tell you that he has been active in union work. They don't just elect any regular line guy or someone who hasn't been active in years to that position.

I see the Union have already started negotiation with the company concerning the VB Plan. I’ve never seen them move that fast, I’m wondering what’s the rush.

This crap doesn’t smell right

The senior old guys that this will benefit are retiring quickly. They've got to get this done asap so they can get their votes.

I don’t want any pancakes or waffles. Leave the A fund alone!!
If the VB is so great, let Delta or American be the guinea pigs on this for about 10 years and get back with us.
