Default Tony C is Running for Block 3

Ran into Tony Cutler in the Atlanta airport. Talked with him while we waited for connections and found he was running for Block 3 to replace Pete Harmon who was elected MEC chair.

I can't think of a better person to put in the seat. He's ethical to a fault, watches finances like a hawk and would inject some much needed calcium into the collective spine of the MEC.

When he was a rep before, he voted against the short-term contract extension pushed by the company in 2012. The resulting 'negotiations' and the mediocrity of our current contract have proven him to be skilled in recognizing bad ideas and opposing them.

I implore you to speak to anyone you know from Block 3 or LEC 26 and ask them to use the ballot they have received to nominate him for the election. All pilots in LEC 26 (that's blocks 3, 6 and 11) can nominate and vote.

Anyone on this forum can recognize Tony's character. Please help get one of our best elected to the MEC.

I moved that retirement thread to Union Talk. Also moved all the others (Delta, United and even JetBlue!) there and comparison of the different points of view is so much easier now.

Did Joe DePete retire? (FedEx)
