But the advantage is that all your new stuff has been pre-tested by someone else. That may be why PanAm & Delta chose a Naval Officer’s jacket design which had been in use for about 100 years.

Canada Goose makes good stuff if we could get them to make some copies without the logo patch.

When I interviewed at Delta many years ago they told me they could convert my Navy Service Dress Blues into a Delta uniform.

Are the new coats available yet? If so where, and how much are they?

Starts at 250. If you need xl or more it costs more, long costs more also. xl long was about 310.

I received my jacket last week. It's nice. But a few issues. No inside pockets? Just 2 outside. Not enough. And epaulets? I knew they were on the coat, just don't like them. I was in HKG and took the jacket to Winstons. Wanted to have them taken off. No dice. Overall, not a bad jacket, light weight and warm.

Got mine as well. Good fit, maybe a little snug at the shoulder, but nicely made. My local tailor said he could remove the epaulets without too much trouble to make the jacket look a bit more like street wear on layovers. Overall, an improvement over the other choices. Now if we could get machine washable pants, that would really be an improvement.

I wash mine inside out and hang dry. Hasn’t been a problem yet.

Are you going to do it? I’m holding off until I know they can be removed without wrecking the jacket.
