Helo background?
 

Have a friend interested in flying big iron. How does FedEx look at helo time? Does he need to acquire fixed wing time? If so, how much?

It doesnt count towards any of the minimum times necessary to get hired. He'll need fixed wing time.

That being said, I've run into a surprising large number of helo pilots that now fly at FedEx.

Have him check out Horizon Airlines. They have a helo transition program and a flow through to Alaska Airlines.
