Fidelity transition mumbo jumbo
I have read the little information that the company and Fidelity have put together about this transition from Vanguard. I THINK that most of my Vanguard funds will stay in Vanguard funds? Did anyone else feel bewildered about if your fees will increase, decrease or whatever with Fidelity vs Vanguard? Did you notice the returns are almost 12 months old, Dec 2017, on the Fidelity brochure about Vanguard funds? There seems to be an emphasis on this active trading BS and all the fees, which I won’t use. I have no interest in giving %s of my money to anyone at Fidelity with their dartboard advice, I can do that free.
Lots of questions. This transition phase is poorly presented by ALPA and Fedex.

Just got the postcard today from FedEx about signing in to netbenefits.com to set up my Fidelity PRSP. I already had other Fidelity accounts, so there was nothing to set up for me. However, when I asked how to arrange for the firm that managed the PRSP under Vanguard to do the same now that it's under Fidelity, I was told that ONLY Fidelity can provide management services, and that it was set up this way by FedEx. Even though the same third party management firm is managing my other Fidelity accounts, they cannot manage the PRSP. I have had two different people at Fidelity tell me the same thing.
I did not read anything about this in the materials I received from FedEx on the switch, or if it was in there, I missed it. I do not want to leave a firm that has gained my trust over the past 10 years and switch to Fidelity. Call me a cynic, but I smell a rat.

FWIW - I spent a few hours manipulating the Fidelity/FDX website today and was not impressed. In so much I called the “866” number. 2.5 hours later on the phone with “George” going through my stuff I was more at ease. He truly appreciated my anxiety and at times verbal frustration. I didn’t ask for this migration either, but for now “it is what it is”.
