Possible ONT pilot base???
 

So the company seems to be executing a strategy that emphasizes regional hub/sorts versus channeling everything through the SuperHubs in MEM and IND.

With LAX basically tapped out space wise. There seems to be a lot of activity going on in ONT with land purchases and such. The folks on the ground seem to be indicating that something is afoot expansion wise there. Our largest competitor also has a significant presence there.

So let's get a new rumor started with some speculation on an ONT Pilot base.

I'm guessing it would fall under LAX so I'm saying 0%.

The question I have is once all the -11 international flying is done in LA/ANC will they keep the base or let them whither? There hasn’t appeared to be a push to base the 777 anywhere but Memphis

FedEx announced back in June 18 about building new ramp and sort facilities. About $100M investment I believe.

My bet is B777 pilot base co domiciled with LAX for dead heads. Can deadhead to just about anywhere internationally in one leg vice two legs and two duty periods out of Memphis.

I heard it will be a 76 base.

I don’t see it being a base in itself. Doesn’t make sense. Possible LAX and ONT are based together, in my opinion yes.

They gonna put the crew lounge in a stinky-ass trailer too?
