Lets hold the companies feet to the fire and force them to increase the cap on our current A plan, just like we said we would do in the past 2 contracts. Oh wait, how did that turn out? Lets just sit with what we have while it devalues over time since its been frozen for over 10 years. Do people who say this know what the definition of insanity is? Do some of our pilots not understand math and statistics and what the average YOY return has been in the stock market. Hey lets just go down the same path again this next contract. Heck third times a charm.

Other ways to get the extra money without ditching our A plan.

Need to educate and change the culture of our pilots, starting with the new hires. How many were picking up extra hours at straight pay during negotiations for CBA 2015 (rhetorical question, A LOT!)? How many guys are falling over themselves now to pick up AVA trips?

I’ll agree that we have a lot of independent operators. No excuse for this behavior during negotiations, but we were so short of pilots in 2015 that we still would have had tons of leverage during peak. We’ll probably never have that situation again.

We've only tried to improve the "A" Plan ONE time. That was the last time, when our Negotiating Committee produced a TA littered with concessions, despite the fact The Company was desperate for us to fly more. Lowest ratification vote percentage ever — epic fail.
I'm not sure that counts as one try, but it's the only try so far. If we give up before we really try, we're complete fools.

You keep spraying this mantra of “other ways” with our current plan, but how did that work out the last two bargaining rounds? Are you ready to go down that same path a third time? You are correct the “other way” is to look at plans such as the one proposed. Did you vote yes in 2015?

[QUOTE=TonyC;2728859]There's that lie again.

Tony,
How long has the current plan been frozen? Do you honestly think with current funding regulations on our current A plan we could negotiate that loss back with our current plan?
