With the airplanes coming and negotiations coming, could you imagine how far behind they could have gotten if they also had to increase manning for operating under FAR 117 or a cargo equivalent?

I think they are being judicious and prudent.

Add the Busses and Md’s around ‘well into the next decade’ as quoted by several people and we actually may need the pilots we’re hiring.
This.

Had a GOC person on my jumpiest recently. They said the new guy in charge is all about expanding sales and he is doing it. According to them, we are looking at expanding or introducing service to several more cities around the world, so we will need the pilots and planes that are on order to service those new cities. The future looks bright for us already here, and for any new hires as well.

Last week’s Interviewees with CJOs were told to plan on 1 Jan start dates.

That could change as rapidly as I typed this. But that’s what they were told.

So what is the CJO? Is there an actual “Congrats welcome to FedEx” email or is it the “Congrats you passed day 2” email and were starting the next phase of your application? I want to jump up and down and celebrate, but I don’t know how high yet...

The majority of them interviewed in the back half of July. Seems like from Aug on there will be a delay. As of 9/1 they started to call people and offer them the CJO.

One thing I learned from J/S conversations is that they are never quite up to date . Good luck to FedEx
