11 soon to be poor miserable souls. Yeah they値l initially be happy that they have a job and initially accept their below industry wages working one if not the toughest airline schedule in the airline industry. But they will soon ride the crew bus next to a wide body CA or FO bragging about their paycheck or their latest toys they just bought. Then they値l see new hires get hired directly into the wide body seats as the company exploits Chapter 24. But they値l be eligible for Passover Pay IF and only if they bid every wide body seat at 100% on the next bid.

Been there done that for 2.5 years. Ugh.

Ugh, As thousands of currently employed pilots face unemployment. Yep, its going to be tough for these new guys. Below industry wages, vs no paycheck? Hard choice.

Its not exploited its vacant seat from 19-01 bid. No different than what happens at UA and DL when new hires go straight to the 75/76 and don't go NB first. You are on this "below industry standard" kick for the last 2 weeks. Its been pointed out to you that our CBA was ratified in 2015 and others ratified in 2016-2019. Thats pattern bargaining and Im sure the rest of the industry is thankful FedEx set the bar way up in 2015 to allow them to pattern off of. Guess what. the JR UA and DL pilots do a lot of red eyes when they are Jr also. They also commute across the country to the JR bases. You have a stick up your but for some reason. If its so terrible then leave. Many would love to take your spot. Now can we get back to the top with our next CBA? You bet. However your only looking at hourly rate and not the entire compensation package. Honestly why do you sound the the worlds biggest cry baby? Believe me the grass is not greener on the other side. I have been in both patches of grass.

I sat sideways for 4 years after I got hired, much of it on reserve. Then 3 years in the right of seat of a 727, then I finally got to a wide body seat at year 8. Recently, we have had new hires go directly to the right seat of a wide body on date of hire. Not all, but quite a few.

I am sure these "unlucky" new hires will be more than happy to sit in the right seat of the 757 until they can move up.

Yes, they will fly some of our harder schedules, but we all have to pay our dues.

I am sure they would rather be working hard than on the street.

If they really don't like it here, they can go somewhere else. I am sure we will find someone eager to replace them.

I'll glady sit in the right seat of a 75 burning the midnight oil flying the crappiest turns out there. Show me where to sign.

Very Respectfully,

I was actually just kidding because the poster who put the class drops didn稚 put 757F, just 757. I was hired into the 757 and flew it for a year and a half. It痴 an awesome plane. Sure, it does mostly night flying, but it put hair on my chest and helps me appreciate the daytime side of the operation even more now.

It's the FedEx subforum in the Cargo section of APC. You really need someone to specify 757F in a FedEx class drops thread to understand that's what they mean?

Doesn't stand for Freight anyways. It's a Captain and FO designation.

Training Letter now shows Aug BI slots:

12 - 757F MEM
12 - 767F MEM
