Not sure if this is the right thread to ask, but recently received a CJO and was told to expect class in August. I am getting married in October and worried about timing class around wedding and honeymoon. Does anyone have experience with this or know who to contact in training department to talk to about this?
Assuming there are enough training slots on your assigned airplane in your BI class, you can try swap training dates with another classmate.

You push the wedding. You don't delay a class date at FedEx. Your multi million dollar career will more than make up for any delay to your bride.

I had this exact situation when I was offered interview dates. Bachelder party, wedding, honeymoon conflicted with every single interview date offered. I sent an email to KD and we moved my interview back 2 months. She was very accommodating and it wasn’t a problem at all. Happy wife, happy life. Good luck and welcome aboard!

I’ll throw in my .02… you can probably work training around the actual wedding date, but be willing to postpone. Trade the bachelor party and have a guys trip around the time your first kid is four months old, you’ll enjoy the break. Make the honeymoon your first FedEx vacation. But don’t put off a class date a couple months. It’s different than the interview the other guy had.

I'm a recent new hire. There were a couple people in my class who mentioned having important life events coming up (baby, wedding, etc). All the managers from the various departments that came to speak to us all gave very strong indications that they will work with you around these types of situations.
Skipping a class date would seem unwise based on the sentiments they gave to our class. Food for thought.
