Vacation footprint question

Hola,
I have two separate vacation slots, one 8 day which overlaps a 7 day slot by one day. I bid VTO because I want to get paid for 15 days. My question is, can I slide them on top of eachother, reducing the footprint, but still get paid for the 15 days?
Alternatively, should I deconflict them to ensure I do get 15 days of credit?
Thanks in advance.

With VTO all that matters is numbers of days, albeit surprised you were awarded an overlapping day...wouldn’t be a bad thing to slide by 1 day to avoid potential computer errors.

once the SWW opens you can reduce your footprint to 0...but that doesn’t mean you’ll be able to request trips during the window.
Merely minimizes/eliminates the Red Bar of Death for open time pickups.

You’re BLG will be 90 CHs

Based on my experience just this month, I don’t think this is correct.
I shrank my footprint to zero and requested and was awarded a trip on my secondary where my footprint used to be.

You were still paid for your vacation days right?

So, I can get paid 15 days vacation, and THEN get a trip through VTO process to double dip essentially??

Poster has 15 days of Vacation, or 90 CHs of Vacation for a 4 week month.

Not sure shrinking the footprint would allow adding trips during the VTO window.

But would allow M/U trips once open time is released

Okay. It didn’t sound like you were addressing the specific situation where someone has so much vacation that they have no more room for trips.
No Rat, you can’t double dip. But if you have say, 42 hours of vacation, you can shrink your footprint to zero and be awarded secondary trips to build you up to BLG that fall inside the former vacation footprint you shrank.

Ok, what am I missing here, the SWW window is open, I'm clicking all over PFC, and I can't find where I can reduce my vacation footprint.

It's in the Secondary Line Generator.

Click on your Vacation footprint and a slider will pop up.
