PIC Time

Hi!
I was curious about how hard it would be to get an interview, and then a job without the 'prefered' PIC time. I am a regional FO with over a year experience at a FedEx Ground facility, and another year at a FedEx Freight facility, both during college. All other listed requirements are met. thanks.

Apply. See what happens. They offer interviews to people they are intending to hire.
Work on your pic time. Update often.

How much PIC time do you have? Keep in mind, FedEx hires Captains.

The 1,000 PIC may be waived for a select few. Your best bet is get in the left seat and get the pic time.

I’ve heard from someone in the 75/76 training department that the “Preferred” 1000TPIC requirement has been lowered to 500TPIC.

That said, everyone invited to the interviews last week all had 1000+TPIC.

I would imagine it could be waived for FedEx Interns, or Service Members in leadership positions.

Good luck!

I do know of somebody who was just hired with 500 TPIC fwiw. So there is a chance that the above comment is true from the 75/76

What about SE turbine PIC? Turbo prop captain with over 1000 PIC 135 ops. I already have apps in and will continually update them.

Yeah, and in WWII a Lancaster tail gunner jumped from 18,000 feet without a parachute because his had been burned up - and survived.

Anything CAN happen.

But I certainly wouldn’t EXPECT to survive an 18,000 ft fall without a parachute and I certainly wouldn’t EXPECT to get the call from FEDEX with under 1000 TPIC.

So you're saying there's a chance..!!? -Lloyd Christmas
