MEM airport car

Prospective new hire here. I'll be commuting from Denver for the forceable future. I've been looking at getting an airport car to start out on reserve in MEM. I'm looking for a car that I can just give to my daughter in a couple years when she turns 16. CO has to physically see the car for a VIN verification and emissions test for me to register it here. What does TN require to register a vehicle? I wasn't crazy about buying at home and driving it out there. I was looking to just buy it out there then bring it home when I don't need it anymore. How do you guys deal with the out of state registration? Am I stuck buying in CO?

I registered a car in Shelby Co (Mem) this year. Brought it in from out of state. They didn’t inspect the car in any way. Just wanted to see the registration and a proof of in state residency

Most states have a "car is out of town for work/school waiver" that you can apply for and get in person inspection waived. Usually has @ 3 forms to fill out. ( proof of employment - a form to be filled out by FDX, local address - use CP address, and proof that the car is actually where you say it is - police to fill out.)

Arapahoe County explained that as well for when the car is taken out of state and left there (college, work, etc). There is no workaround for the INITIAL registration and plates requirement that is required to fill out all that paperwork in the first place. Thanks for the link though. I was looking for the paperwork anyway.
