What about Holiday Pay?

Don't other airline contracts have Holiday Pay?

IMHO, any holiday, or the day before or the day after, when you are required to submit a doctor's note if you go sick, should get holiday pay! Any trip, including 12 day international trips that include a holiday, should get holiday pay for the entire trip if you touch a holiday, or day before or day after.

To be fair, “lesser” airlines (ie Jetblue) have night and holidays overrides. It’s really not that outlandish of a proposal.

Be careful what y’all wish for...i can see hundreds of thousands spent on feasibility studies only to have the company agree to a daytime underride for all pairings with a single duty period that touches daylight at some point and a select few celebrating a victory of “higher night pay”. On a positive note, those holding shares would be in for a nice boost!

The regional I came from had holiday pay. It was an additional 4 hours of pay on top of guarantee for being on a trip or on reserve on the holiday. You didn’t even need to be used on reserve to get the 4 hours, just being on call sufficed.

Asking for night pay at Fedex and UPS is like asking for day pay premium at pax airlines.

Cargo pilots are expendable.

Oh the improved sleep rooms. Wake up call system. FDXx is padding their defense against a law suit.
