Thanks if anybody has any information about this.

I have no clue but you should call the DO and see what they say. I’m sure we have some sort of waiver for this situation.

I had a similar situation albeit two weeks ago. My trip was to operate into Memphis but ended up on a 5th revision, CAN-DEL and then deadhead to EWR and MEM. I was concerned with what 'they' were going to do with me once I got into Newark. I was escorted to a room where there were other pilots, played 20 questions, had my temperature taken, gave up personal information such as phone number and address and how long was I in China. 'They' said that I needed to self-quarantine, whatever that is. I got home and was called the next day by a local health rep, twice. And this was to go on for 14 days. On the second day she said that since I'm a pilot I'm 'exempt' and need only to self-monitor but if I had a temperature I would need to call her back.

'Self-quarantine' to 'self-monitor' meant I would go about my business, take my temperature and that was that. Unfortunately, other people who knew I went to China treated me like a leper. My spouse was treated as such. It's been strange. People are fearful; just avoid and lay low.

This......I've managed to avoid mainland China through February and March, but after my experience returning home from PVG at the end of January, my wife and I have determined that if I do end up going back through China that we are just keeping it to ourselves. Its ridiculous the amount of fear folks have. I'll do my best to continue to avoid, but if I do end up passing through there it aint nobody else's business.......

One, The virus is being played up. Next year there will be another virus. Its no one's business where you have been. My fear would be from the guy who's wife works with 23 first graders. Influenza kills far more people than the past 3 big scares from China over the years. Ok, on to you, Star Clipper.

So I’m guessing you’d have no issue spending a weekend in Wuhan? 😏

Didn’t realize we flew to Wuhan.

Google maps has it as a bit over 600 miles from Guangzhou

I know we don’t fly into Wuhan, however since Stan claim that the virus is being hyped up, I would think he wouldn’t have a problem spending a weekend there. I think it’s very dangerous to ignore the risk and dangers of this virus to our crew members, there family and everyone they get in contact with. People like that are the ones who ignore the safety practices and put us all at risk.

There are 11M people in Wuhan, even if all the cases were there-that's roughly 6 people per thousand

Odds are Hugely in your favor of staying healthy, if you wash your hands, even in Wuhan.

Ok, I''ll give a bite to the troll. FedEx doesn't fly to Wuhan. But you'd know that if you worked for FedEx.
