Disagree on the seniority bit. Number when you’re eligible to come to the line. Shouldn’t be able to skip A reserve or brutal winter night hub turns while not line qualified and working a “desk” job.

I see your point...good one too. However you couldn't convince me for a million bucks (which is what some flex's are close to making lol) to be an instructor at Module C/D...did too much sim instructing/check rides in the AF and don't ever wanna do it again.

I disagree with the flow through. Go through the process. If you want to be a life long pro instructor, fine. There have been too many bitter pro instructors who can't fly the line. And I have to hear their excuses every time I do a sim with them. Always old former military guys. They are good instructors but quit lying to them they are going to fly the line. And the few that make it to the line, suck.

It has been my experience that the pros that the pros who made it to the line know their stuff and have no problem flying the line.

Maybe they would be less “bitter” if they had a flow? Anyway, the one pro in my class is a sharp guy. Many current pilots had nothing but good to say about him.

Pay the pros, they’ll stay around and/or we will attract good candidates.
But “no” on the seniority number at date-of-hire. There still needs to be vetting and also no jump in seniority. Being junior here sux and we’ve all been junior on the line — they can be junior on the line too.
