If checking in for the Jumpseat in MEM they will make you shave it off or you are not going. I had to give a guy one of my razors once so he could go, went in the men’s restroom in Jumpseat area and came out clean shaven. Then he was able to check in.

Did you even phone our JS admin before posting? Golf clubs, roller board, beard, free food....Are you a Kardanshien?

Aghast? Seem like a little much. He is simply asking questions. Better he do that now then just show up with a beard and golf clubs and expecting to be fed. Let’s not get offended so easily for people just talking and asking questions. Let’s try to give each other a little grace please?

As for the golf clubs, sorry, I don’t know the answer to that question.

You can bring golf clubs, people do it, but there are a couple caveats.

Jumpseat Finder

Reference the prohibited items list and look at note 2.

Keep your mask on at all times and you can have a goatee!

My apologies - and “grace” extended to the OP and you. I must not be as “woke” as I should. Please forgive me.

Default covid arrival in ANC

Need to get to ANC later this week. Thinking of taking you guys from MEM. Any idea if the AK gestapo are watching the cargo arrivals for JS'ers and checking for Covid testing etc?

Question regarding parking at a FDX outstation. I would be commuting out of BNA. I noticed a relatively large parking lot, that is mostly empty in the front of the hangar. No signage about employees only, or anything of that nature. Would it be pretty standard to allow for a jumpseater to park there a few days?

I know every facility is different, just curious if this is a close to similar situation as some other facilities.

Hopefully a BNA guy will chime in but you can call the ramp office and explain your situation and hopefully they can help. 615.367.8620

Is it allowed domestic? ( Thought I heard back in March that there was a period of not being allowed?)
Process as described on ALPA.org? (It would be my first time on FDX)
I have my Covid beard going, trimmed, but still a beard... I assume clean shaven is a must?
Still catered? Or should I plan on bringing a sandwhich/snacks? Depending on my destination it may be a 3 leg trip, or 2 legs for an airport an hour away.

Thanks
You are absolutely allowed to jumpseat domestically with CASS. We will be happy to have you.

No beards. Maybe you can get away with a fu-manchu mustache, but it might cause 'stashe envy, since we are not allowed anything other than neatly trimmed mustaches.

No catering for jumpseaters on domestic flights, BYOF. Wish we could feed you, but that's how it goes domestically for off-line, and our own, jumpers. You can have water and/or drinks from our cooler, and coffee.

Bring your golf clubs, they will be placed in belly cargo - "transported in an enclosed container (hard-case recommended for liability reasons) however, soft case is allowed. Must be stowed in an inaccessible compartment..."
