Default Retirement Website

For those desiring to add to their knowledge base regarding proposals to our retirement plan, please consider visiting a website that I put together. The site is private, will require registration, and I will confirm that you are on our current seniority list.

The site includes data, links, union podcasts (with comments added), and many other items that should be considered prior to blanket approval of any new plan proposed by union. The goal is to educate alternative viewpoints with sufficient data and proof to provide talking points with references.

In the future perhaps - but - at this point, hesitant to put my name out there as a dartboard. Fellow FDX pilots are currently reviewing the site for accuracy and helping to ensure errors are minimized.

—— Railway Labor Act Negotiation chart (the end is “Chaos” - self help or strike)

- PBGC Info - obviously a link to the site
—— Termination options (AA 2011 Pension Freeze is standard and NOT at PBGC due to post 2006 PPA rules)
—— PBGC Solvency issues (describes Multi Employer plans in jeopardy and Single Employer [FDX] plans with surplus)
—— Premium Calculations for PBGC (83/individual and an amount not to exceed 561/individual for “unfunded Vested Benefits”)

—— 25 Year + Veteran currently employed and extending past the 25 years

—— Upgrade possibilities and International Flying (essentially PSPP would drastically alter current system)

I am willing to ADD content - and definitely seek accuracy within the site. I believe (other than my sometimes snarky comments) that the site is unobjectionable since I provide links and snips essentially SHOWING data to readers rather than misleading via speaking with unconfirmed information.

Jetflyers adds credibility haha..... To who? Its the same 15 names complaining about everything all the time. We are doomed in negotiations if a lot of us think like you in regards to JF being credible. I have seen so many incorrect things posted on that site. Its maybe 50% at best on credibility. Its more of a comedy site for laughing pleasure. Like the guy who posted the other day on how to buy a house to “claim” residency in Tennessee while his wife and kids live elsewhere. I sometimes ask how these people fly airplanes. That site is littered with management and people post the stupidest self incriminating things. Then you have the standard “Im smarter than everyone” group who chimes in on everything within seconds with “personal thoughts” and not facts. Its honestly hilarious and most of the angry 15 don’t realize everyone is laughing at them not with them.

So you spend all this time on a website to hide behind a curtain because your “hesitant to put your name out as a dart board”? If your going to challenge those who have researched this project and the professionals then have the guts to put up or shut up. Doing these secret sites during negotiations is a killer to the pilot group as a whole. Im guessing thats your goal anyway. Well job well done if you are trying to creat divisiveness. If you think that will help us be successful then god help us all.

Clearly you haven’t looked at the site he’s provided. It’s a great source of information about many things. It’s not an opinion site, it’s a place to get the actual no kidding real info. Noworkallplay, you are not contributing anything of value to your fellow pilots.
