Default Shipageddon?

Where’s the beef? Lots of talk from the suits and media about unprecedented volume. Open time seems fairly minimal for biggest peak ever. Calm before the storm?

Understaffed and AVA still not turned on in CGN. Definitely not feeling it here.

Just one package but I ordered flowers to be delivered on 12/1. Being shipped by us and looks like they’ll be there today, 12/3. Maybe they’ll be alive.

We could have planes at close to max usage and staffed right, or we could be holding back stuff for vax shipments at any minute. I don’t know, but it ain’t ‘normal.’

I guess it depends on your fleet. Every FO I fly with is getting AVA and DFT.

For the first time all year I’m actually on AVA for a change.

My flights have been full. Rare to takeoff under max landing as of late. Bus doing LOTS of multiple leg trips.

It’s in full force in my case. Had a FDX Express shipment coming from HKG to TPA. It sat at FDX in HK for 5 days. Then departed HKG to TPE. Was offloaded at TPE and sat there for 3 days. Tracking still showed in TPE yesterday at noon. At 1 it showed cleared customs in MEM. Showed departing MEM at 6 last night. Never showed in TPA with no more tracking updates. Now it’s showing a delivery in 5 more days. Couldn’t get a human in customer service. After 4 calls finally got a hold of someone. They claim it’s going by truck from MEM to TPA. It’s an Express shipment.... Long story short, over 2 weeks since FDX picked up the Express shipment and will be close to 3 weeks before it’s delivered. You guys must be slammed full. Didn’t know you trucked Express from MEM to TPA. Someone was to call me back per FDX customer service in an hour. Going on 3 and no call back 🤷🏼‍♂️

AVA is wide open, and been getting draft calls all this week. That's been pretty much normal ops on the MD.

Sorry about the delays. Honestly. One thing though... if you used your airline shipping discount to ship, that's on a "space-a" basis, so it will get bumped for "full fare passengers." If you paid the full rate, I'd definitely be raising he||.
