First, let me remind you that self-help is allowed under the RLA. That's a Federal Law. Anyone who claims we will be denied our rights under Federal Law should consider what they're saying.

Second, let me remind everyone we haven't had to resort to self-help in the past to convince The Company to negotiate in good faith. Taking a strike vote in 1998 was one way of moving The Company, which didn't even want us to count the vote. (As it turns out, the strike vote was stronger than the TA ratification vote.) Since then, we've seen movement when flights went unmanned.

We don't have to strike to be successful in negotiations. We DO have to demonstrate the willingness and resolve to do whatever it takes. Informational picketing is one example of such a demonstration.

Well of course it's allowed but you have to be released and the process is in no ways a guarantee. Do you think we have fought wars without declaring war by Congress? Heck, the Constitution was set up with the idea the Congress would declare war before a war yet it hasn't been used since WW2....and we still have been 100% in wars. So sure, it's allowed but ending the conversation there is a middle school discussion. We're long past that and have decades of experience to look at. If you want to go into this with the belief that you will be allowed to strike, you'd have to convince me a lot more where you got that belief from then "it is allowed".

Think you should put more weight on the word "Think"
Quite the smoking deal to have PBGC Insurance premiums stop once someone retires...then again, it is a Govt Insurance plan. So, it almost seems like something the Govt would do. I mean, only collect Insurance Premiums for people Actively Employed yet provide Pension Insurance for Active Employees and Retired Employees.

So, what you're saying is you're still just guessing.

You sure about that? I will admit to being wrong but the last time I walked the line was the contract prior to the bridge contract.
