Help with getting an interview
Hello everyone,
Just looking for some guidance and advice on getting an interview.
I’m 36, masters degree, 3500 TT and 680 Turbine PIC. I was a cop for 3 years before my regional job. I actually did my flight training with my Dad for fun and this turned into my career. So I didn’t go to a 141 school.
I know two guys at my regional who just got invites to apply and they have less time than me. I have 1 P.E.
I’ve applied for LCA but they haven’t started interviewing for them yet. I’ve volunteered with the union at my regional.
I’ve had Centerline review my app and my PE review it as well.
Other than building PIC, is there anything else I can do to help my cause?

Could be that turbine PIC holding you back. We are 500 required 1000 preferred. I think right now FedEx still has the ability to be picky with who they choose. Keep cranking it out as quick as you can and continuously update your app. I think you probably have all the other boxes checked at this point.

That’s what people keep telling me unfortunately.
When I heard the two guys I know at work got invites to apply, I asked about their times and both had 600 PIC.
Maybe their PEs are higher up than mine 🤷🏼♂️
I’ve just been wondering if there were some other boxes to check that I had not thought of.

Sometimes that helps the process.

Another data point for the conversation:
10,000+ hours
2,000+ hours turbojet PIC
3 type ratings (two of which are Boeing)
Very good GPA in a difficult major
1 personal endorsement
Lots of international experience
Crickets for the last 16 years (from the date at which I met the minimums and first applied)
You're not the only one.

Does your PE sponsor go talk to their Fleet Captain about you? What’s the feedback?
