If I lose a uniform piece I just grab one at a costume store. A FedEx polo would be too hard to find.

Respect? Wearing a uniform in the pax terminal usually just invites a random walk up customer asking me what gate their flight is at.

They only place I’ve seen where it can maybe. MAYBE. Make a difference is India. But even then the handlers take care of all of it.

Who exactly are you going to “command direction and lead” after you get off the plane? The driver that speaks 3 words of English or maybe the overworked gate agent that doesn’t care that you’re on a deadhead with a paid ticket? Wish I was more savvy at this forum stuff cause it would be the perfect time to insert a Cartmen “Respect my authority!” meme.

Im surprised all those corporate pilots make it out of all these foreign countries alive with just khakis and a polo.

I will say that I was a corporate pilot for many years before getting to FedEx and it is actually quite the norm for corporate pilots to wear the monkey suit when flying internationally. For whatever reason, it does seem to help in some countries with security/customs etc......

Even others who have a bachelors degree in Mexico are referred to as Lic. (Licentiate) John Doe instead of Senor John Doe. Having a degree is so rare. It is a sign of deference.

They killed that policy after 9/11 but I think it’s been long enough to be able to bring it back.

Internationally it might look a bit odd tho

Fwiw, I think I know what airline you’re talking about & when it was considered again TSA was none too happy about it. Considering some of the stuff that has/is going at KCM I doubt their mindset has shifted in a positive manner.
