That was my thought when reading the OP’s rant. As legitimate as this issue of bot being informed of post hotel testing, we shouldn’t conflate it with his obsession with pilots that do what is in their contractual right to do when flying DFT or VLT. That’s an entirely different discussion.
When pilots consistently AVA/DRFT/VBB into these trips with known issues, it makes it the same discussion. You have now condoned it with your behavior. When we figure that out as a pilot group the company will fix these issues immediately. When we beg for extension and premium pay and then do them we will get slow played.
Once again, we are our own worst enemies…..

It is now and watch the way pilots obtain these trips with this issue. Like the other issues we have had with HKG layovers, TPE, DBX on and on. To many willing to look the other way in the name of money. All while complaining about the issue they willingly put themselves in. History repeats itself every time. Time to start talking within our pilot group about what being a unified group looks like. Not how I can be the best subcontractor.

It is time we mature as a group. One pilot at a time, or all at once. Either way it must happen or the consequences will be worse than contract '15.
I guarantee the company has done the math and knows where the available efficiencies are located in the CBA.
There will be no excuses this time around. Get involved in the process of get ready for disappointment. There are no casual observers this go around. And no innocent victims.

Since this wasn’t a know issue, I thought, as someone else did, that you were conflating two separate issues. But I understand what you are saying.

I agree with starclipper AND you on this. It was not a known issue, BUT it is now. So like I posted above, will this change my bid going forward, most likely. Will it change my answer if called, most likely.
