Frankly I’m glad he’s in the seat.

When PM says the company is looking to gain efficiencies, what do you think that means. Who pays for those efficiencies? Do you think the company opened Section 1 or Section 7 to help us improve those sections? I think you are overstating what it means by the company is asking for concessions. Since this is your first go at contract negotiations here, maybe you should consider what is being said by those who have been around for two or three negotiations.

Frankly I wish he would resign also.

Maybe if the MEC found a way to improve the A plan that was supported by 80-90% of the membership, they wouldn't feel like their hands were being tied. But, they are smarter than all of us and know better. They have the company just were they want them.

Taking odds now, if the next TA passes, what will it pass by? My guess is if the PSPP is there, and I think it will be, if it passes, it will be by 54%

anecdotally, if a TA gas PSPP in it there is no way it will pass. I’ve heard from old school captains and new hires alike, it is very unpopular. It is about as popular as PBS….those two are basically non starters from the pilot group that I’ve talked to.

Can MANGMNT legally try and poach more vacation sellers after the contractual method has been processed?

I can’t find anything in section 7 or 25 that specifies the timing and/or length of vacation buy back requests from the company.

I admit it could be someplace else.

I thought the next step would be vaca canx which pays out more and or can be rescheduled. Honestly dont ever remember this happening before.

I don’t have access to FCIF’s anymore. What exactly hasn’t happened before? I remember vacation cancellation requests and involuntary vacation cancellations. What is new this time, asking twice?

As has been proven in the past, they can, and will, do anything they want.

Per the contract, there can be involuntary vacation cancellations. No, an involuntary vacation cancellation does not pay more, though you do have a couple of options that you don't have for voluntary vacation cancellation. It's in section 7.
