Biden vaccine mandate

Is fedex included in the vaccine mandate requiring all people to be vaccinated by December 8th? Is the usps contract and craft flying mean we’re mandated under the government contracts?

you’d think we’d hear something about this from the company.

Just goes to show you that the clueless occasionally slip through even at FDX. 🙄

Birdsmash,

Perhaps you could enlighten the rest of us. I have seen nothing from the company on this issue. Perhaps I "just slipped through" as well.

Frankly, I am surprised we have not already heard the company's position.

I'm perfectly happy with the current non-position of the company. Unlike some others on here, I prefer that the company stay out of politics.

I believe the company knows that introducing a mandate will exacerbate the already dire staffing situation they are dealing with in the sort facilities. They cannot afford to have anyone walk off the job.

Yes, the company should stay out of politics but they could at least tell the employees if the new Federal rule applies to us or not. I’m sure they are working behind the scenes with the government and the lawyers to avoid it, but if it is required it would be good to have more than 2 weeks to become compliant or face losing the USPS contract.

The postal service is exempt from the mandates. Don’t know why but they are.

true, I forgot about that but does it apply to CRAF when government workers and government contractors are not exempt?

No, they are not exempt they just fall under the OSHA large employer mandate instead of the federal employee EO (EO's only apply to executive branch employees and USPS is independent of the executive).

And except for federal employees of the legislative and judicial branch.
