VIGILINT Dr C

I popped Covid positive just before NYE. Dr C from VIGILINT answered my questions at 4 am.

He was professional the whole time, answered my questions at 2 pm a few days later

More than a few days after that, he had a truthful discussion with me at 5 pm about the FX process to get back on the line.

In times where answers might be lacking, Dr C took the time to give me nuanced answers about COVID with regards to FX and flying. He was available when I wanted him to be.

Thanks, Dr C, I owe you a beer and a steak…not necessarily in that order.

You are supposed to go through Harvey Watts. to get back after pos covid,

Jayme98 01-13-2022 05:00 AM

Correct, Stan
VIGILINT provides the paperwork to give to HW to get back on status.

Dr C is the guy at VIGILINT who provides the paperwork to give to HW to get back on status.

The paperwork Dr C provides releases you from isolation/quarantine. HW clears you back on status. HW will not clear you back on status unless you have paperwork from a doctor…
VIGILINT’s Dr C is the company provided doctor.

I assume you can use another doc, but Dr C already knows which forms to provide you to get cleared back on status by HW.

You Called him up at 4am?

Noworkallplay 01-13-2022 07:39 PM

So I need to call Dr. C if I want to accelerate my ability to get back and do draft/ava? Oh, I am sure many want to have Dr.C on speed dial.

Whats the rush to get back when you are paid to be at home with Covid positive regardless of vaccination status?

Jayme98 01-14-2022 04:09 AM

I tested pos at 4 am in Indy. The call to him is the first step on the checklist after a positive test.

We are pay protected for trips already on the calendar. We do get paid an R day for days without an event, but only up to 14 days after the test and if you are quarantined/isolated in the field.

I returned home after the CDC recommended 5 day isolation period and the R days/per diem stopped.

Get well soon! My point is you can be pay protected up to 60 days. Section B.3 of the Medical MOU

3. A pilot who is symptomatic per the applicable SAFO/CDC (currently SAFO 20009) shall notify the Company and will be placed in a sick status. If the pilot is diagnosed with Covid-19 (symptomatic or asymptomatic), he will be Pay Protected until authorized to return to work.
a. The Company will exercise reasonable efforts to expedite Covid-19 testing and/or return to work clearance of pilots who are symptomatic.
b. The pilot shall have all sick hours restored based on a positive Covid-19 diagnosis.
c. A pilot diagnosed with Covid-19 will be Pay Protected for the duration of his COVID-19 infectious period up to a maximum of 60 days, after which he will be placed into sick status.

for once I agree with Noworkallplay…take your time getting back and be free of symptoms. No need to drag your body down doing night hub turns! But I think Noworkallplay‘s notion is right. A lot of dudes coming back early to scratch their AVA & draft itch. Money is flowing right now.
