Lol have you actually worked with that garbage? It’s awful. There’s a reason why UA/AA/DL are always sitting at the end of the runway waiting for numbers and we’re not.

I know I can get my fuel usage numbers, but honestly, how many people track that information? I sure don't. I have not looked at it in a couple of years.
I don't know what information FedEx's system will give us. I am not on the MD. At previous company it told you your rate of rotation at takeoff, what your speed, tail clearance and deck angle at takeoff were. Then on landing, how fast or slow compared to Vref you were at landing, deck angle and tail clearance.

I'm serious. It gives feedback about your takeoffs and landings that you probably wouldn't get otherwise. Why are you against this?

Weird, at Delta Air Lines (3-words folks), they're not allowed to push until they have their numbers. You shouldn't compare FedEx's on-time push or departures with the rest of the industry. You're going to be embarrassed. FedEx's Next Gen APS system is fast and safer than the previous system although they need to fix the center runway issue.

actually was on a Delta 757 the other day outta Jax in in the jump seat we pushed and waited for numbers for quite some time.. missed our slot to Atlanta waiting.. they were not happy. I was just glad for the ride. But I came from an airline with Acars numbers and it was a pain…got used to pulling into the run up pads…
But it was 18 years ago so I’m sure things had to have gotten better…

I used it for a while on the 76. It wasn’t exactly earth shattering. The EFB/QRH tab data was just fine. This MyFlight seems pretty cool though. They already capture all this data anyways. Now we just get to see it.

I’ve used AeroData and Sabre both via ACARS at other operators and much preferred it. No manually inputting MEL/CDL’s, typing the METAR in…, any of that either.

bingo…it all auto populates, less room for error. Never had to “wait for numbers” at the end of the runway either.

Same experience for me at previous airline with Aerodata. Just needed runways, pax and bags as inputs. Took maybe 30 seconds max to get a response back with numbers. Our backup was an app on our EFB where we also had to input fuel. Gave us numbers even faster. Tertiary was calling the dispatcher and getting numbers over the phone or texted via ACARS.

Our NGAPS is an improvement over APS but the procedure needs improvement.

Bingo…….it’ll be a long procedure with a lot of briefing to ensure everything is perfect to a T, but hopefully we get the NGAPS figured out soon.

We’ve been using ACARS data on the 76 for what, over a year now? It works just fine and if you need to make a quick change, you can send it thru ACARS or do it thru the EFB APS. I’ve never had to wait more than a few seconds for the perf to come thru on ACARS.
