100% that's why all these little squabbles to divide us all up is just one big management play to keep us divided. Just like the different fleet lanyards.

Sounds like the current US political landscape

We ARE NOT in self help. You are ADVOCATING for an ILLEGAL WORK ACTION that can bite us, big time.

While I am not a fan of draft at this particular time, beating on people who make that personal choice only serves to divide us.

STOP IT!

An individuals opinion about the actions of their fellow pilots is not advocating a job action. Your position presumes that somehow that opinion has changed since negotiations began.

Many of us were critical of the Blue man group long before this round of negotiations began. those decisions are selfish at anytime and counter productive to the health of the current and future work force. But this group is full of if it works for me that's all that matters. That puts the individual ahead of the group. There is no cohesion down that path.

Management need do nothing.

I never thought I would say this but I am now in favor of a credit cap per month like other airlines have. It would fix this problem.

It would also “fix” our ability to work more in one month and be able to take a good part of the next month off. What would you limit it to? There are so many unintended consequences of something like this. If you think that limiting CH just so every 5-6 years, no one can fly extra during negotiations, your nuts.

The goalposts for this particular round of negotiations have been set, so this discussion doesn't really fit in a thread about TA rumors. But since you've mentioned it.

A CAP system wouldn't work without a corresponding BANK system to allow for exactly what you're talking about. Under such a system hours worked above the cap would be banked and could be used to complement fewer hours worked in subsequent months.

While I don't think a Cap & Bank system would be widely accepted among FedEx pilots during "normal" times, I've always thought a Cap & Bank system would go a long ways toward the "Share the pain" goal of what was once our Section 4.a.2.b. (now § 4.a.2.c.). I wouldn't mind also seeing it triggered at the amendable date of a CBA. In both cases, it would motivate The Company to act in our interest to remove §4.a.2.c. or negotiate a CBA in an expeditious fashion.

But it would be a huge paradigm change, and unlikely to ever gain popular support. Back to our regularly scheduled negotiations.
