TONYC for Block 2 Rep !!! Interesting to see less than 6 names willing to do 3 jobs. Seems to be on par though with past years. Between APC and Jetflyer we surely have more than that who claim they would do so much better. Why so few names when called upon? |

Is your name one of the five? |

I'm thrilled to see 2 new faces indicate their willingness to serve as Block 7 Rep. I don't know either of them, so have no idea who to support. Therefore, I am waiting to submit my Nomination "vote" until I can gather more information about them. I may be wrong, but I don't think you can submit a nomination for one block now, and then go back and submit a nomination for another block later. I am pretty sure that you cannot go back and change a nomination or vote, and I think that might prevent the one block now, another block later strategy. If anybody has tried that and it worked or failed, please let us know. There's also room for write-in candidates. If you know someone you think should be serving but their name is not on the ballot, talk to them and encourage them to serve. As long as they indicate their willingness to serve before nominations close, they can still be elected. It's an underappreciated job, but a large part of our future rides on their shoulders. Thousands of pilots and their families are depending on our leaders to improve our pay, benefits, and quality of life. We need good people to step up as leaders. . |

But as soon as a member clicks on SUBMIT, they won't be able to go back into the ballot to make edits." Please educate yourself about candidates and then select your nomination for all three blocks before clicking on SUBMIT. |
VOTE
All FDX Council 22 candidates have now published "campaign e-mails." If you're in Council 22, please read them. Contact the candidates if you have questions. And then VOTE!
Sure, candidates can be nominated, and even elected with just a handful of votes. But what that would demonstrate is that we're not paying attention and/or don't care. Apathy and ignorance. We're too busy making money to notice. That's NOT the message we need to send The Company. We need to show our negotiations opponent that we're paying attention to what's going on and we don't like it. Show your resolve and determination by casting your nomination "votes", and be ready to vote in the election that follows. Let's aim for 100% participation in the process. Everyone in the Council needs to cast a vote for all 3 Block Reps. Do it NOW. www.alpa.org/votenet . |
Congrats tonyc !!!!

Congrats tonyc !!!! A last minute write-in candidate will stand beside the quasi-incumbent (he has been serving as the Block 7 Rep) for Block 5, so there will be two candidates for all three blocks in the election phase. Only 15% of the council voted in the Nomination phase. We need to have a much higher turnout for the election. It's time to let The Company know we are wide awake and paying attention. It's super easy to vote, and it takes less than a minute. I'll post a link again once the voting opens. I'd naturally prefer you vote for me, but if you don't want to, please vote for the other guy. Either way, the important thing is that you VOTE! . |
