MEM Terminal Shuttle

I'm an American Airlines Pilot jumpseating on Fed Ex tomorrow. First time trying this in Memphis, m looking for any information on getting from main airline terminal to Fed Ex

Is there a shuttle? Take a cab? Other suggestions?

Thank you.

Ask the crew to show you the window where you ask for a bus to take you to the terminal. You may have to wait a few moments, as they usually do a "5 minute call".

Try calling our AOC (Ops) crew bus number: (901) 224-5487. If they won’t take you you can Uber to 3131 Democrat Rd…that’s the address to the AOC. Our jumpseat office is co-located. Just come thru the double doors, roll thru security and it’s the first door on the right.

I misread. You want to go to FedEx from the terminal? I'll send you a PM with the phone number.

PM sent. Worst case, if you can't get a crew bus, call Uber, it is about a 15 minute ride, I think the address is 3131 Democrat Rd. Not sure if they will let Uber through the security gate, so the crew bus is a better option.

Crew bus operates 24/7.

Not sure if there still is, but there used to be a phone for the Fedex crew bus in the MEM terminal right at baggage claim. It's a direct dial.

Look for the telephone for local hotels, limos, etc, in the baggage claim area. There's a handset and a keypad, and a list of speed dial numbers. I think FedEx is something like 24#. Tell the dispatcher your name and let them know you need a ride from the passenger terminal to the AOC. After you talk to the dispatcher, walk outside to the outer lane and look to your left. There's a sign on a post that marks the location where the FedEx shuttle drops off and picks up.

Hope that helps. And welcome!

the FedEx shuttle will take offline guys. Call the number for the bus over there and they will get you set up. I did it all the time when I was with AA. Would come home on FedEx and catch a ride to the terminal.

When at bag claim level outside call 901-224-5487, tell them your request. Have your AA ID. Should work.

WHOA, hold on there and WTF!!! Don’t be coming around here spreading facts or be trying to contribute with your sick and twisted sense of normalcy and decency. God dammit, put em up and let’s fight.

Hold on a minute.

Okay, I’m back. Had go and the kick my dog, yell at the kids and talk to my lawyer about chapter 11 proceedings for my 7-11 franchise. What were we talking about? Oh ya, you suck! Let’s go!

You forgot to add in something about how United pilots don't need a shuttle or a phone number to call and how our NC sucks.

Shuttle runs on a schedule at UA and it will take you to training center and another to the hotel downtown. No need for crash-pad, or crash-pad car.
